International Jazz Series presents Janine Annice (UK) From My Heart to Yours

Hailing from the UK, Janine Annice has wowed sellout houses from London (Troy Bar, Ronnie Scott’s) to Singapore (Cool Cats Club) and many prestigious venues and festivals in between.  Indulge yourself at Alexis on the most romantic day of the year as the songstress takes to the stage to present a sultry, soulful selection of love songs from the past to the present day.

 

Janine will be performing alongside an incredibly talented local selection of young musicians.  Tan Eu-Wyn is a talented international electric bassist with a wide and varied background of experience, ranging from an appearance as a guest musician for The Voice to playing for Ah Niu in Shenzhen.  Groove-heavy drummer Kae Vin (Kedah) has over the years established himself as a familiar face in the local music scene – having brought home the title of “Best Drummer” at the Asian Beat in Tokyo, Japan at the early age of sixteen.  Nasrin (KL), a diverse guitarist who amongst many projects led the ‘Nazrin Trio’ at Publika Jazz Festival 2017, featuring Jack Lim – an energetic pianist who has played at many prestigious jazz festivals such as Publika Jazz Festival (2016), who will also be joining Janine at Alexis.  Saxophonist Imran Aiman (KL) has spent much time playing across the waters in the UK as well as Indonesia, with greats such as Indro Hardjoriko and Idang Rashidi.

 

Dress code applies: No Shorts & Slippers.
